Hi! I’m Becca and I am the Branch Manager for Harrogate & Knaresborough branch in North Yorkshire.
I studied health & social care in school, then joined the British Army when I left school to become a Combat Medical Technician and ended up walking through the barrack gates as part of the Royal Artillery Regiment instead!
I thoroughly enjoyed military life, adapting from military life back to civilian life was a whirl wind, but the military values still run deep through my veins and mind set. I decided to take a dive into the health sector at the age of 18. I have tried a variety of different sectors but always found myself back in this seat, the health sector! 16 Years later, here I am.
I joined The Care & Support Group at the beginning of 2021 as a carer and wasn’t long promoted to senior carer at the end of 2021, then promoted to Care Coordinator in 2023. In 2025, I was again promoted to acting branch manager for a couple of months before promotion to becoming Branch manager. I thrive knowing I have done everything within my power to ensure the duty of care for not only our clients, but our staff too. I have a variety of skills ranging from working well as an individual, and as part of the multidisciplinary team, these vary from social workers, district nurses, Occupational therapists, and my in-house management team.
Ensuring that our team is conducting an excellent standard of care for our clients whilst maintaining a good quality of care and independence in their homes is a huge privilege. My confidence has certainly grown with the responsibility of my job roles.
I am a mother of 2, since becoming a mother, my children have moulded me into becoming the woman, mother, sister & daughter i am today. We love to dance and sing around the kitchen and enjoy our annual holidays abroad and long walks, its good for the mind and soul! I am a big believer in ‘what you plant now - you will harvest later.’ If you are looking at joining the care sector, take the leap! It is so rewarding.
