2026 – An Exciting Year Ahead at CSG

2026 is shaping up to be a momentous year for The Care and Support Group, as we continue to grow the reach, scale and quality of the support we deliver across the North East and beyond.
In 2025, we increased the volume of support we provide by around 17%, launching new services in Sunderland and developing further opportunities across County Durham. We now deliver Domiciliary Care and Supported Living services, including Complex Care, commissioned by eight Local Authorities across the North East and Yorkshire.
To support this growth, our Head Office function has expanded significantly over the past 12 months, including the appointment of a Business Development Manager and Finance Director, ensuring we are well prepared for the year ahead.
Creating opportunities for people to build meaningful careers
In 2026, we are planning to recruit around 150 new Support Workers and Care Workers into our existing services across Tyneside, Wearside, County Durham and Teesside. We offer both full-time and part-time roles, with opportunities available immediately.
You don’t need previous experience in Social Care to join us. If you are a lively, engaging person who wants to do work that genuinely makes a difference, we are more than happy to talk through what we do, how we work, and whether a career in care could be right for you.
We offer great rates of pay, clear routes for development and progression, and — above all — a supportive, nurturing working environment where people are encouraged to grow and thrive.
Alongside our growth in the North East, we are also working towards delivering services in new parts of the UK, with Greater Manchester a key area of focus for 2026.
Strengthening our impact in the community
2026 will also see us strengthening our partnerships with local charities. We are proud to be working with Durham County Carers Support and Newcastle Carers, two organisations that provide outstanding guidance and support to unpaid carers and young carers across the region.
Throughout the year, we will be taking part in a range of fundraising and awareness-raising events — including a Tyne to Tees walk, the Great North Run, and other local challenges — to help support their vital work.
Social Care continues to present both challenges and opportunities, and we believe The Care and Support Group is well placed to respond with ambition, compassion and professionalism. As we move into 2026, we remain focused on delivering high-quality care, supporting our workforce, and making a positive difference in the communities we serve.
