I have worked in Care for 18 years, I started delivering care to service users in the local community where I lived. I enjoyed this role so much and felt this is the career path in which I want to progress with. I then progressed my role to working within the office completing staff rotas and then into a managerial role as a Deputy Manager supporting the Registered Manager.
In 2012 I decided to attend university and complete a degree in Leadership and Management which upon completion lead myself to taking my first Registered Manager post 2015. Since becoming a Registered Manager I have managed Domiciliary care companies, Residential and Nursing homes. Since becoming a Registered Manager I have worked supporting domiciliary care organisations with turn around services, starting up a service from scratch, one which was my own company back in 2017, I then moved onto managing care homes. Throughout my Registered Manager roles, I have had all my services rated either Good or Outstanding with CQC. I have had pieces of work in which I have devised then used as best practice models for a local authority to share with other services. I thrive myself on ensuring that service users have person centred care tailored to their needs is the most important value I have when managing services. Been able to provide the very best care and support to people is so rewarding which is what drives myself day to day within my role as a Registered Manager. I am a supportive manager and will always strive to support my team within their roles and give leadership and mentoring to my team.
